As groundwater flows across a geological interface of two formations with two different hydraulic conductivity, flow lines refract in a
way analogous to light moving through two different materials. A series of idealized vertical
(profile) flow models with different subsurface geologic configurations (heterogeneities) are provided
below as illustrations of modeling seepage under dams using MAGNET.
