A. Conceptual Model

Selecting this option will save the IGW-NET model file (ASCII/.txt format) to the local machine, or directly open it with a ASCII/.txt editor.

B. Latest Binary Results

Use this option to save the 2D or 3D head distribution and concentration distribution (if applicable) of the last executed time-step (or steady-state simulation) as a .bin file. The saved .bin file can then be applied as the initial condition for a transient simulation with the same model domain and grid configuration (i.e., the same NX and number of vertical layers).

Boundary and initial conditions are assigned in the Simulation Setting tab of the Default Model Input Parameters and Display Options (DomainAttr) menu.

C. Latest Text Results

Selecting this option will export the following model parameters/values at each model node location:

- 'I','J', and 'K' are the indices of the model node in the x-, y- and z- (vertical) directions, respectively.
- 'IB' is used to represent the cell type in the numerical model: 0=inactive cell; 1=active cell; -1=prescribed head cell
- 'H(m)' is the simulated head at the node location (units=meters)
- 'C(ppm)' is the simulated concentration at the node location (units=ppm)
- 'TopE(m)' is the aquifer layer top elevation at the node location (units=meters)
- 'BotE(m)' is the aquifer layer bottom elevation at the node location (units=meters)
- 'Cond(m/day)' is the hydraulic conductivity of the model at the node location (units=meters per day)
- 'Rech(m/day)' is the simulated recharge at the node location (units=meters per day)

Also included in the .txt file is information on the model grid size and number of grid cells, steady vs. transient model (and which time-step, if a transient model), and the geographic coordinates of the domain origin (bottom-left corner).

D. Latest Water Table

The latest water table can also be saved by selecting 'Latest Water Table'. To load this water table, check the box next to ‘Import’ in the Simulation Settings subtab of the Domain Attributes menu, then click Import to browse to and select the saved water table file.

E. Latest Particle Results

This initiates a download to your local machine of the latest particle tracking results file (.ptls) created for your MAGNET account. The .ptls file can be uploaded at a later time using the Post Analysis tool in IGW-NET (Analysis Tools > Analysis > Post Analysis > Magnet).

To be able to use this option, the user must check 'Save PTK results' in the Simulation Settings Tab of the Domain Attributes menu, and simulate a model that includes at least one particle tracking feature.

F. Latest Model Zipped File

Selecting this option saves the latest set of model results (head/flux) which can then be used as boundary/initial conditions for subsequent submodeling.

G. Current ModFlow Model

This downloads the MODFLOW file package (input files and output files) from the last run (simulation) of a MODFLOW-based model in IGW-NET.

Users can select a MODFLOW solver package through the Simulation Settings tab of the Domain Attributes menu (Conceptual Model Tools > DomainAttr > Simulation Settings tab > Solver Options > select Modflow option).

H. TP Model Results

This downloads the latest 3D Transition Probability (TP) aquifer material model executed under your MAGNET account. The file can be used at a later time for visualization and analysis in the Post Analysis tool (Analysis Tools > Analysis > Post Analysis > TP Simulation).

To create a TP model, go to: Analysis Tools > 3D TP.
