Map & Model Setup

The Map Visualization window is used to change map display options. After running a model simulation various results can be displayed including flows, depths, and flood inundation.

To use the map visualizer:

Field Description
Parameters
Date Select date for results to be displayed
Time Select time of day for results to be displayed
Model Opacity (%) Select model feature opacity (0-100) for map display.
X-Section Visibility Choose to turn all cross sections (transects) "On", "Off" or only display "Control" (drawn) cross sections in map display.
Bankline Visibility Choose to turn banklines "On" or "Off" in map display.
Model Parameters
Subcatchment Parameter Choose from a variety of model input/output parameters for subcatchment color display.
Node Parameter Choose from a variety of model input/output parameters for node color display.
Link Parameter Choose from a variety of model input/output parameters for link color display.
Inundation Parameters
Scheme Set the way that open channel flooding is displayed. Interpolate flooding from "all" open channel transects in a reach, or display a "moving" interpolation between adjacent transects. "Auto" uses `all` for spatial irregular transects, and `moving` for regular channels.
Visualization Method The interpolation method used to generate flood map. Triangular (default) uses TIN based method, RBF_.. methods use Radial Basis Function interpolation, and GRD_ methods use gridded interpolators.
Interpolation 1D (only if X-Section Number greater than zero) Choose if 1D interpolator should normalize display cross sections using deepest point in adjacent transects "1D_norm" or not "1D".
X-Section Number Input the number of additional display cross sections (between adjacent model transects/polyline segments) to be used for 1D interpolator.
SU Method Choose method to interpolate and display irregular drawn SU (storage unit) depths on the map. "Linear" grid interpolation, "Triangular" TIN display, or interpolated by "chunk" between adjacent contour lines.
Floodmap Opacity (%) Set the opacity of the inundation on the map (0-100).
