Edit Weather Data

What is it?

This interface allows users to update monthly weather statistics that is used to generate simulated daily weather (.wgn files). Please note that this does not change the daily observed data supplied through 'Weather Data' interface.

How to use it:

Subbasin number, station name, latitude, longitude, elevation and years of data used to generate monthly statistics are displayed.

Edit weather data

From the dropdown list next to 'Parameter', select a parameter to edit. Its monthly values for the subbasin are loaded.
Parameter description:
TPMX: Average maximum air temperature (°C).
TPMN: Average minimum air temperature (°C).
TMPSTDMX: Standard deviation of maximum air temperature (°C).
TMPSTDMN: Standard deviation of minimum air temperature (°C).
PCPMM: Average precipitation (mm/day).
PCPSTD: Standard deviation of daily precipitation (mm/day).
PCPSKW: Skew coefficient for daily precipitation.
PR_W1: Probability of wet day following dry day.
PR_W2: Probability of wet day following wet day.
PCPD: Average number of days of precipitation.
RAINHHMX: Maximum 0.5 hour rainfall for entire period of record (mm).
SOLARAV: Average daily soloar radiation (MJ/m2/day).
DEWPT: Avarage dew point (°C).
WNDAV: Average wind speed (m/s).

Make desired changes, and click 'Save'. Please remember to click 'Save' after each parameter is updated.

Applying the changes

Under 'Extend parameter edits', check 'Extend ALL WGN parameters' to apply all the current weather generator parameters. To only apply the parameters that have been updated, leave it unchecked.
To apply the changes to current subbasin only, check 'Extend edits to current subbasin'.
To apply the changes to all subbasins, check 'Extend edits to ALL subbasins'.
To apply the changes to selected subbasins, including the current one, check 'Extend edits to selected subbasins' and select the subbasins from the list on the right.

Click 'Save Edits' and close the interface.
Don't forget to click 'Save Edits' butoon on the 'mgnSWAT Edit SWAT Data' interface.
