Load & Plot Cesium Data
This interface is used to load and plot data layer(s) (raster, or vector) for 3D visualization within DataNET's Globe View using Cesium rendering. Users can visualize data layers from DataNET, from outside web data services, or they can upload their own data for 3D visualization.
The basic steps to send a DataNET layer to the Globe View framework include:
1) select (check) a layer of interest from the Data Layer Library or user Workspace
2) define a "site-scale" area of interest in the map display by drawing an analysis area (Title Toolbar > Draw Analysis Area > 'Rectangle' or 'Polygon').
3) toggle on 'Globe View' and open the 'Load & Plot Cesium Data' dialog (Title Toolbar > 3D Visualization > Globe View... > Load & Plot Data Layers)
4) choose a webservice format (WFS for vectors, or WCS for rasters) and specify additional options (or use defaults)
5) click 'Load & Plot' and allow the 3D visualization to load (this may take a several seconds or longer, depending on the size/resolution of the data being prepared for Cesium).
WFS
If you want to render vector data (polygons, lines, or points) for 3D visualization, select the WFS Service. Line and polygon vector layers will be "draped" on digital terrain land surface in Globe View. After initially loading, features can be styled using the 'Style' buttons in the 'Globe View Toolbar'. Point data has a special interface that can be used to plot borehole lithology (see more on this within the Globe View WFS Layers help page).
In the case of lines and polygons, any features that intersect the analysis are will be included in the Globe View display.
See the Send Data help page for additional information about WFS data parameters.
WCS
If you want to drape raster data (tiled/gridded data layer) on the Globe View digital terrain, select the WCS Service.
See the Send Data help page for additional information about WCS data parameters.
