Evapotranspiration Parameters

Workflow context
For the workflow context, see 📘 Evapotranspiration

What is it?

Evapotranspiration (EVT) is the combined effect of evaporation (from surfaces) and transpiration (from plants) that returns water to the air. Increases in temperature or levels of vegetation will typically increase EVT and reduce overland flow.

How to use it:

To specify EVT for overland flow in the current model zone check the box next to "EVT" and set the parameter values. EVT can be set to a constant rate, can be loaded from gauge data, or can be derived from temperature and rainfall using the Priestly-Taylor Equation.
