Layer Help

Add a new Layer

Clicking this layer adds a geologic (or conceptual layer) to the model. This layer has the same spatial extent as the first (top) layer, but can be assigned a unique set of domain attributes (e.g., hydraulic conductivity, aquifer elevations, etc.). Note that:

- There can be mulitple computational layers within one geologic/conceputal (e.g., in order to resolve vertical details of flow within a single geologic unit).
- the new layer is always added below the bottommost layer of the model.
- the geometry of the model domain (node edit option) is only available to the top-most layer of the model. The other layers will automatically update to match the first (top) layer.

Delete Current Layer

Choosing this option will delete the current geological/conceptual layer. The first layer cannot be deleted from the model.
