Snow Pack Parameters

Workflow context
For the workflow context, see 📘 Watershed Coupling (SwaNET/SWAT)

What is it?

The snowpack is a key part of the overland flow model water balance. In cold temperatures snowfall accumulates, and in warmer temperatures snow melts and sublimates (evaporates to the air). In this window the user can specify properties to controll these processes.

USGS (2008).

How to use it:

To specify snow melt for overland flow in the current model zone check the box next to "Snowpack" and set the parameter values. Enter the number of hours the snow melts each day and start and end dates. To account for snow sublimation check the "Sublimation" box and enter sublimation rates.
