Map Options & Overlays

Manage overlay maps and markers, adjust transparency, and explore your watershed in interactive 3D with customizable terrain, vertical exaggeration, animation, and 3D model publishing.

1Manage Maps

Click Map Options from the main menu.

  1. Select overlay map from dropdown and click Update.
  2. Adjust transparency (0-1) and click Change.
  3. Use Hide/Show overlay and Hide/Show markers to toggle layers.

23D Visualization

Click View in 3D for the interactive terrain viewer.

Base Image

  1. Select base map (DEM, hillshade, solid, or Local for custom upload). Adjust offset, opacity, color, and enclosure.

Overlay Image

  1. Select overlay (e.g., Subwatershed+Streams). Adjust offset and opacity.

Global Controls

  1. Navigate: Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, double-click to maximize.
  2. Z-scale: Vertical exaggeration (default 0.5).
  3. Background: Change scene color. Animate/Stop for auto-rotation.
  4. Download Image saves as PNG. Save 3D model publishes to the network.

What is Z-scale?
Vertical exaggeration. Values above 1 amplify terrain. Default 0.5.
