Edit Soil Chemical Data

What is it?

This interface allows users to modify HRU level soil chemical data.

How to use it:

Subbasin number, land use, soil, slope and HRU number of the HRU currently being edited are displayed on the top.

Soil layer parameters

To edit soil layer chemical parameters, select a soil layer from the dropdown list under 'Soil layer'. All the available soil layers in current HRU are listed here.
Parameter description:
SOL_NO3: Initial NO3 concentration on soil layer.
SOL_ORGN: Initial organic N concentration on soil layer.
SOL_LABP: Initial labile (soluble) P concentration on soil layer.
SOL_ORGP: Initial organic P concentration on soil layer.
PPERCO_SUB: Phosphorus percolation coefficient.

Make desired changes, and click 'Save'. Please remember to click 'Save' after each layer parameters are updated.

Edit soil pesticide parameters

Any existing soil pesticide is listed below 'Pesticide'.
To edit pesticide data, click on the pesticide name.
Parameter description:
PLTPST: Initial pesticide amount on foliage (kg/ha).
SQLPST:Initial pesticide amount in soil (kg/ha).
PSTENR: Enrichment ratio for pesticide in the soil.

Make desired changes, and click 'Update pesticide'. Please remember to click 'Update pesticide' after each pesticide parameters are updated.

Add a pesticide

To add a pesticide, click 'Add pesticide'. Select a pesticide from the list and click 'OK'.

Applying the changes

Under 'Extend parameter edits', check 'Extend ALL SOL parameters' to apply all the current soil parameters. To only apply the parameters that have been updated, leave it unchecked.
To apply the changes to current HRU only, check 'Extend edits to current HRU'.
To apply the changes to all HRUs, check 'Extend edits to ALL HRUs'.
To apply the changes to selected HRUs, including the current one, check 'Extend edits to selected HRUs' and select the subbasins from the list on the right. Next, select the landuses, soils and slopes to apply the changes.

Click 'Save Edits' and close the interface.
Don't forget to click 'Save Edits' butoon on the 'mgnSWAT Edit SWAT Data' interface.
