An example Help page for Aquifer Top Elevation, that is accessed by clicking the Top Elevation button, is provided in Figure 14. It is worth noting that in the Aquifer Top Elevation description it is mentioned that, while the top elevation of the model can be provided as a single number, it is also possible to define it as a surface; that is to say that different values are provided in different areal locations. The database for this is designated as a Digital Elevation Model or DEM and provides the resulting surface provides a better representation of reality. This approach will be used in this test problem dataset. MAGNET uses data that is processed and stored at different resolutions. The code automatically extracts the appropriate DEM based on the grid size of the model. This is done by default[1].
In addition to the DEM from the MAGNET Data Server, users can add spatially -variable data layers to represent the aquifer top elevation by importing a raster format file.
